Great looking fridge with a wonky ice dispenser

We love the fridge overall. The fit and finish are premium, and the features are more than adequate for us. The only downside is the in-door ice dispenser and how it likes to throw ice. We™€™ve found you kind of have to put a cup up as close as possible to the dispenser and use your fingers to push the dispense button in order to avoid ice bouncing off the rim of the glass and landing on the floor. Kind of annoying. At least it has a second ice maker in the lower freezer. With that said, the fridge looks fantastic in place, and fingerprints are a non issue.

PRFS2883AF unit was delivered today, and on first power-up has a CE ER error code on display. Numerous power cycles have not cleared this "communication error". Online repairmen say this is a major communications error between electronic boards. Frigidaire stock must be low; Home Depot does not have these in stock and can't deliver another refrigerator for 20 days. To make matters worse, they cannot schedule a pickup for this broken one for about a week, so this failed unit will sit here and prevent me from installing something else.

Replaced a problematic refrigerator with this COOL fridge. The handles make it look like a much more expensive refrigerator. It really dresses up our kitchen. More importantly it has several great features including two ice makers so we never run out of ice. Also big is the no smudging feature. It looks good all the time. Almost forgot to mention how much quieter it is than our previous one.we are very pleased with the Fridge!

We are absolutely loving our new fridge! I purchase the fridge and had it delivered prior to getting an occupancy license for our new addition. Because the electricians, HVAC guys, and plumbers still had some work, occasionally the power would be turned off. The feature I LOVE is the fridge has a warning beep inside the door if the power has been off! Overall thumbs up for this fridge!

The fridge has lots of features I like but the design leaves me wanting more. I love French door fridges. They have a sleek look that is appalling. There's a few things that bother me. The in door shelving leaves much to be desired. There isn't much height to put normal bottled stuff in them, such as catsup, salad dressing, bbq sauce, etc. The bottom shelf doesn't have enough clearance to fit anything in them. The depth on the left hand side is so slim, I'm not sure what will fit in there. That's enough about the doors. The veggie compartments have plenty of room, and the deli tray is great. The freezer compartment is spacious, but I miss the extra pull out shelves of my previous one. I do love the extra ice maker in the freezer drawer. Refrigeration space™€¦ The depth of the right hand door takes up a lot of interior space that could have been better used. I would have eliminated the gallon milk door shelf and added more inner depth. The slide back shelving on the top shelves lets you add taller containers but at the same time, eliminates shelf space. Overall, this is a great looking fridge with several great features, but feels awkward at the moment.

We can™€™t be happier, large inside, great controls and a beautiful finish. It™€™s made ice 2 times in 4 hours, and we really like the finish and quality of the construction. It™€™s very solid and nothing about it feels cheap. Some reviews said it was loud, it™€™s not at all. Some reviews said the water dispenser leaks or drips, it doesn't. I wish I could leave my phone number here to answer questions because I too was worried but I will tell you it was worth a few extra bucks for the solid quality, no flimsy handles or doors.This is a great refrigerator. I highly recommend.

Good fridge except water leaks

Bought the fridge 7/27/2023. Work fine and things are kept cold BUT water leaked from the dispenser in the door. Appeared to be from the chute that drops the ice. Had that replaced after a few months and leaks decreased 95%. Then they started again. Replaced ice chute again but no improvement...water collects on the tray in door of the dispenser.

It is very quiet except when the water comes in for the ice maker but by no means as noisy as our GE Profile. We love the spacious drawers. You are able to adjust all the shelves even on the doors. I got the refrigerator about a month ago and so far so good! I like the dual ice trays, and the flexibility of the shelving, although I took one shelf out completely just to have a permanently tall space for Milk Jugs and wine bottles. It's stylish, and functional. I hope it lasts for a long time.

Ice water dispenser needs improvement

Water dispenser is slow. Takes forever to fill up water bottle and dispense ice. One ice cube comes out every 4 seconds sometimes longer. The dispenser pressure pad needs to be higher so a glass/water bottle can be held up closer to the opening to prevent ice from splattering and dropping onto the floor.

Very good capacity for our purposes. The inside mounted icemaker is preferred as compared to door mounted like most other manufacturers due to the frequent freezing together and jamming of ice cubes with the door mounted units. The exterior finish seems to clean and stay clean much better than our previous less expensive Whirlpool model.

It is a very nice looking dual fridge, and has a large footprint. That size unfortunately doesn™€™t translate into huge cold storage at the fridge or the freezer. It™€™s not terrible by any means but is less than it would seem. Also, the door ice mechanism does not work; it turns but there is no actual ice made in the freezer compartment. Out of the box problems™€¦ a little frustrating.

A good replacement for a defective fridge from another manufacturer

When doing a research online to replace a defective fridge I was surprised to see Frigidaire mention about filtered ice feature. After measuring our area found that standard depth would be useful for our space and capacity on the top area. Sometimes this fridge is noisy but it™€™s been doing its job. It wud be helpful to know that drip pan near water filter is not included. That™€™s cause some leaks on the floor nearby.

My first fancy fridge!

Fridge (along with the stove, microwave & dishwasher) were in the house I just purchased. Seems great. Flexible shelving options, ice maker works great- wish it was a little smaller to give more room in the freezer- and I am enjoying the water dispenser in the door. I like how I can also customize the temperature in specific zones very easily. The ice cubes from the in-door dispenser do shoot across the room rather than land neatly in the glass being held underneath the dispenser so that sort of renders that unusable.

Great looking fridge. Dual icemakers a huge plus. Did have to remove 1 shelf all together to store more taller things. The gasket on the lefthand side near upper freezer compartment is warped and was allowing air to leak which caused the upper icemaker to quit...but we were able to pad the gap back out. Send me a new gasket and ill call this unit perfect

Great features of this refrigerator are the double ice maker (providing plenty of ice) and the layout of the refrigerator portion (multiple shelves keep everything organized).

New refrigerator

Our local dealer could not, or would not, match the price point on frigidaire.com. I really like the duo ice makers. The install crew was better that most that I have come across. Wife really likes the drawer below the crispers. Did seem to take a long time to cool down, but it was in back of a truck baking in the hot Texas sun for at least 5 hours before it was plugged in.

Huge Storage Space and Simple Layout!

Glad to have a Frigidaire again. You can actually get service on these things unlike other so-called American brands that service techs just avoid you. Talked to a service person before I bought it. Lots of room inside and layout is simple. Holds temp dead-on with no variance.
