Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Love it

Timrb6 10/20/2024

This is our first induction/convection unit and we're loving the control that we're able to get. I've always loved cooking with a gas stove because of the way that I could control the flame, but the induction is just as good.

Best range !

Jan1391 8/20/2024

This range is fantastic! The size and streamlined look is very attractive while its functions are brilliant ! At first I found the timer a little sensitive to use but now after 7 weeks I have it mastered! The oven capacity is great with the convection heat option cooking everything at different levels perfectly! It™€™s easy to clean and although this seemed a hefty price I do not regret it at all .

Think twice before placing that order

MWbuyer1 5/19/2024

Bought this range in November of 2023 from a major upper Midwest appliance retailer, and it was delivered at the end of February 2024 due to remodeling delays. Off the truck and out of the box, it did not work since it kept tripping the GFCI (code requires this now so beware) breaker. Waited another month for them to get parts (essentially every circuit board) and it still did not work. Paid extra for the Electrician to come and verify the circuit was correct and working. It was finally decided to replace the unit and would need to wait another 4 weeks for that to arrive. Now we are told we will need to wait another 4 weeks to mid June and hope one arrives. If you decide to buy this unit from Frigidaire be prepared to not have a way to cook or bake meals for many months.

Trading propane for induction

FogeDad 3/16/2024

Now that we have our range, it is a wonderful upgrade from our old propane gas stove. It is easy to clean and everything cooks quickly. Luckily we had a set of pots and pans that were induction friendly. However, I will say that getting the range was a nightmare. It was very easy to order online. As for delivery, it took almost a month and the guys that finally delivered were not installers so they were just going to leave the stove and take the old one. We convinced them that they needed to install it as that is what we ordered. We had over six calls to Frigidaire support to find our stove and the delivery company called/texted us 6 times falsely setting up a delivery. We had taken our old stove out so we had a kitchen that was a disaster and no stove for almost a month. In summary, the stove seems great with all of its advanced features but getting the stove was a terrible experience.

I Never Thought I'd Switch From Gas!

C Webb 3/11/2024

I was a diehard fan of cooking with gas and swore that is the only stove I would ever have. I went to my local appliance store to purchase a refrigerator and was ogling the Wolfe professional gas ranges when the salesman asked had I ever considered induction. I was appalled and said I would never have an "electric range". He gave me a demonstration and I was very intrigued. I went home and did a lot of research and saw a lot of other fellow gas range devotees had made the switch and would never go back. I decided to go for it. Am I glad I did! Cooking on this gorgeous induction range is more precise, faster, and more even heating than my gas range ever was. I love the bridge mode on not just one, but two sides of the range, which was the biggest reason I chose Frigidaire. It is such a great feature. I can get a lower simmer and a higher boil than I could on my gas range. The oven temperature has been accurate and steady as well. My husband is still in awe that I gave up cooking with gas -- he said he never thought he'd see this day! I didn't either but I've made the switch and I'm never going back!

love the quick response on burners

SMD65 1/21/2024

We just completed a home/kitchen renovation and although my husband wanted to convert our stove to gas, I convinced him to try an induction range for environmental reasons. Others who have cooked on gas and switched to induction love it which is how I came to learn about induction cooking. There are so many nice features on this Frigidaire model. Only the surface under the pan gets hots. Although the burner area stays warm after you take the pot off the surface, it is much cooler, much faster than a traditional burner. I have found the glass top to be easy to clean. Another plus is if something does boil over, clean up is much easier because again, only the liquid that seeps under the pot is left behind instead of a much bigger mess on a glass-top cooking surface. Seriously, the burners respond fast, very similar to gas - it's on, it's off. Water boils in a snap. We also love going to a bigger stove/oven combo of 36" and since we were doing a renovation, this was possible. The inside of the oven is large and I love the middle easy sliding rack. There is even a feature with this stove/oven that turns itself off after a certain period, depending on whether a burner or the oven. But the times don't interfere with every day cooking and I think it's a smart safety feature. We installed a downdraft behind our stove because we kept the stove in the same location as our old cooktop and we have to use a downdraft because our inside stairs block our ability to easily vent from the top of a range hood. I am loving having both the stove top and oven all together instead of having them on different sides of the room. Also the stove does come with stainless cover options (skirt) if you do not want the legs/feet to show as you can see from the picture on the website vs. actual install in our home.

Learning Curve

Shanlee82 1/14/2024

We are still getting used to an induction surface, but like how responsive it is when you want to reduce heat (such as when the pot is about to boil over! Haha). We also like how quickly we can get to a boil when using the accelerate setting. I think the simmer setting is a little too warm for certain things (like rice) IMO, but the 2 or 3 setting works great for those items. The convection roast did a lovely job on our whole chicken and potatoes recently.

Love it so far!

shibarunner 1/10/2024

This range is beautifully designed and looks great in my kitchen. The oven works well, and I like the controls although they take a little time to get used to, but fairly intuitive. The knobs turn the opposite way I'd expect, to turn on the range. Have not used the cooktop much because I still need to buy induction-ready pans. But it works with my old tea kettle and it's amazing how fast it boils water, and how quickly the surface is completely cool after it's turned off. Very happy with the purchase so far.

Love the range, but already have a problem.

1012GA 1/7/2024

Amazing cooking experience, easy to use, beautiful to look at, I wish I could give it a 5star review. But I already have an error code that requires cutting power to it. And 2 burners have never worked properly, they only turned on on the second attempt, which might be linked to the error code . I will call the store on Monday, will try to update my review after servicing . It might be an easy fix or the beginning of a headache.

Smith8873 12/3/2023

Spent $5500 on this oven. Right out of the box, the control panel for the oven didn't work, we called the seller and they replaced the oven with another of the same model. The control panel for this oven does not work either. The cook top does work; however, so we aren't completely without a way to prepare food.

Steep Learning Curve, but works well.

CW_Jones 11/3/2023

The way the controls work on this range are not 100% intuitive. The "push this, turn that, then come back and push this again" type of steps to simply turn on the oven can be frustrating when trying to teach several generations of people how to use it. We've still not been able to figure out how to get the "Bridge" function to work on the Cooktop. That said, the range looks good, and once turned on correctly has operated as expected. Learning how to use Induction has been fun and it's super impressive to see how quickly it all works.

Choose Wisely

SpyBread 10/31/2023

Pros:Very well designed and constructedRange heats up quicklyEasy to clean cooking surfaceNice looking unitCons:Difficult user interface for oven: Requires two knobs and a button to operate, and the instructions for using the BRIDGE function are complex.Using the Two Burner BRIDGE function is comparable to Indiana Jones attempting to grab the golden idol. Here are the instructions.1. Press and hold turn the front/rear left or right knobs counterclockwise to the A-B positions (a short beep will be emitted.)2. Release the knobs.3. Return the front left/rear right knob to the OFF position, then promptly press and turn the rear left or the front right cooking zone knobs until you reach power level 9 (a long beep will be emitted0). Now both cooking zone displays shows level 0 and flashing red dots appear on all displays. The bridge function is now activated.4. You can control both the linked zones using the front left or rear right cooking zone knobs. There is no way to turn on the oven light without opening the door: This is a major inconvenience, especially when cooking delicate dishes or checking on food in the dark.Overall:This range is well-designed and constructed, but the difficult user interface for the oven and the lack of a way to turn on the oven light without opening the door are major drawbacks. I would only recommend this range to cooks who are comfortable with complex user interfaces and don't mind opening the oven door to turn on the light.Recommendation:If you are looking for an electric range with a Two Burner BRIDGE function, I recommend that you look for a different model with a more user-friendly interface and a way to turn on the oven light without opening the door.

Stay away if you want a working range

NeedAnewStove 10/11/2023

The unit was had two burners dead on arrival. I have made 22 phone calls and have had 4 technicians come out to repair the new unit. None of the technicians know what is wrong with it and can't even open the unit since it requires a special tool that they don't have. No parts exist for the unit so they are indefinitely back-ordered. I've been without a stove now for 2 and a half months after spending $5000 on a new unit.

Review of 36 inch freestanding induction range

Ldodge 8/22/2023

Review of freestanding 36 inch induction rangeThe customer service is just as bad if not worse than the appliance itself. After one use of the cooktop with induction compatible cookware there were scuff marks everywhere that cannot be removed. After calling customer service i was told there is absolutely nothing that can be done bc its outside of the 7 day window from delivery and is considered cosmetic. We used it once! And it was less than 2 weeks from the delivery date due to the fact we had a full kitchen reno and it wasnt operational within 7 days. An appliance at this price range should not have this issue especially if using the proper cookware. We Could not be more disappointed with the product and customer service. Will never purchase another frigidaire appliance again

Jonni 7/17/2023

A good looking range with lots of features. I'm still learning how to use it. The induction cooking is fast, which is so nice. I made pasta and I think the pasta tasted better because of the intensity of the boiling water. Have used the conventional oven, but haven't tried the convection yet. The knobs on the front are easy to bump and turn on. Sometimes it isn't straightforward on the oven temp vs. setting the clock (too many clicks).

This was an excellent purchase

Sparky921 6/12/2023

We wanted to replace our gas range with an induction model. For a couple of years, we hesitated and could not truly find a product we really wanted, or that was not back-ordered. The Frigidaire 36™€ induction range fit our needs perfectly and fits our kitchen space. We are happy with our purchase but have only had the appliance for a month now. Things we like about the range: ™€ The cooktop heats instantaneously. Boiling water is available VERY quickly. ™€ The control of pan temperatures is also nearly instantaneous. Raising or lowering the temperature seems quicker than our gas range. ™€ The lowest settings with the ability to simmer or keep food warm are MUCH better than our gas range. It would continue to cook foods even at the lowest settings. ™€ Clean up of the range top is far easier than our gas range. ™€ There is far less heat created in our kitchen due to the induction method of cooking. ™€ We love the fact that the ventilation of the range electronics is from the back of it. Our prior range would blow hot air out the front of it, making us very warm while cooking. ™€ We have not tried the oven yet, but are impressed with the fairly quick pre-heating. ™€ The oven steam cleaning cycle is a plus and should make oven cleaning a less burdensome chore. ™€ The provided telescopic guides for the over rack are very nice.

Upgrade from my Viking gas range

TCLA 5/7/2023

I was nervous about switching to induction cooking but am currently very happy with the decision. The fact that pans get hot almost instantaneously, saves so much time. At the highest heat, I can get a beautiful sear and crust on a piece of fish or steak that I never got on my professional gas range. The oven cooks evenly and accurately. It™€™s also much easier to keep the cooktop clean. I™€™m an avid and enthusiastic cook and haven™€™t found anything that this range doesn™€™t do better than my old Viking 36™€ gas range. Lastly, I love the safety . I will never accidentally leave a burner on. Even if a pet or child touches the cooktop, there aren™€™t going to be crazy burns. The safety of induction is why I made the switch but I™€™m happy to report that it™€™s fun to cook on as well.

This induction range is awesome, huge and expensive looking. We did a lot of research between the Bosch, Electrolux and fridgidaire 36 induction and fridgidaire was the top choice in design, cost and functionality. The only think preventing a 5th star at this time is my learning curve but we anticipate having it down soon. Food cooks well, water boils in an instant and I don™€™t have to worry about our teens catching their sleeves on fire like I did with our gas range. It™€™s nice to do something for the environment and possibly our health too.
